Pomegranate juice is great for smoothies. Pomegranate smoothie starts your day with a full dose of antioxidants and vitamins.
This deep coloured, sweet and healthy smoothie is made with pomegranate juice, frozen blueberries and pear. I always end up putting banana in my smoothies, even if I have initially decided not to. But hey, bananas are good, my family consumes like five kilos of them every week.
I used cold pressed pomegranate juice, but you could do the juice your self by putting the arils in a food processor and sieving out the seeds. Or use the arils whole in the smoothie. The arils will not completely blend but using them whole will make the smoothie full with fiber too.
Cold pressed pomegranate juice is a good way to get all the great healthy benefits of pomegranates. Always choose a non sweetened juice. Pomegranates are naturally very sweet. The frozen blueberries give the smoothie a little freshness and a nice dark colour.

Pomegranate Smoothie Recipe
1 dl cold pressed pomegranate juice
0,5 dl frozen blueberries
Peel the banana and put all the ingredients in to a blender. Blend for about a minute until the smoothie is all silky and creamy.
